7/21 - Relief, but the wrong kind

Chelsey relieved herself in the car today during our 2nd field trip. She would have done it in the McDonalds restroom two minutes before, but she was afraid that it would have made her into a fish. Or into a baby. Or it would have wasted too much time. She had some delusions and disordered thoughts today throughout the visit, but her not-so-accidental accident in the car was particularly discouraging. It was caused by weird thoughts, not by losing control of bodily functions. Toilets and showers trigger the worst of her troubles.

This is such a roller coaster. Her behavior and coherence is inconsistent. We were thinking yesterday that she was close to the old Chelsey and that we could manage her at home very soon. We'll probably have to do that in the near future regardless of her consistency, but we do not know what to expect from day to day. The short-term consequence is that we decided to give up plans of an extended vacation for us all to see family this summer.
