7/15 - Mixed News

We had a very nice visit with Chelsey today.  She was more in the moment, even asked her Dad about his day.  We had great conversations together, we listened to her favorite Zelda music together and helped her eat dinner. The entire visit was enjoyable and more hopeful, until the very end.  Then we heard some disturbing news from a nurse assistant about behaviors from the previous night, as she was questioning whether this was something we'd ever dealt with before (it wasn't).  I won't go into it all, but it involves personal care and it would be no fun to deal with at home, and I don't think they'd be happy to sign her out until she is more aware and capable of caring for herself in that way.  She's learned some bad behavior from other patients too.  Heavy sigh.
